Position Overview:
TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team in Wheatley, Oxfordshire. This is a full-time role from Monday to Friday, supporting students in an SEN school environment. The successful candidate will be integral to creating a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere for our students with disabilities and learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce/reproduce materials to support teaching in base lessons and mainstream lessons as needed.
Assist pupils in sessions such as break-times, including providing personal care when necessary.
Participate in off-site activities such as horse riding, swimming, and residential trips.
Handle manual tasks and maintain fitness levels to meet the physical demands of the job.
Demonstrate a flexible approach and a positive outlook in all interactions.Requirements:
Experience working with young people.
Experience working with children with disabilities or learning difficulties/SEN.
Physical fitness to manage the demands of the role, including manual handling procedures and being active throughout the school day.
