A welcoming and inclusive school in Thatcham is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. In this role, the SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will help create a positive and structured learning environment where every child feels supported and valued.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with a range of special educational needs both in and out of the classroom
* Deliver targeted interventions and learning activities
* Assist with communication, social development, and emotional regulation
* Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
* Help maintain a calm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
* Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionalsThe school is looking for a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant who is committed to supporting young people. Previous experience working with children, SEN, care, or support work would be beneficial but is not essential.
