Hays Education are recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in Rugby. This is a full-time opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
If you have experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), Support Worker, Care Worker, Residential Support Worker, or Teaching Assistant, this could be an excellent next step in your career.
Your new role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties
Provide 1:1 and small group support
Assist with classroom activities and learning interventions
Promote positive behaviour and engagement
Support pupils to develop confidence, independence and life skills
Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
What you'll need to succeed
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
Experience in education, care, support work or youth work
Patient, resilient and caring approach
Strong communication skills
Passion for helping young people achieve their potential
