TeacherActive is proud to be working with SEND Schools in Nottinghamshire who are looking for experienced TA's / Teaching Assistants to join their team. The schools pride themselves on creating a wonderful educational journey for their SEND pupils.

Working with SEND Pupils is a challenging yet highly rewarding position. We are looking for TA's / Teaching Assistants to cover day to day, short term and long term placements supporting children with their education. This is a great chance to gain an abundance of experience to add to your profile and keep everyday exciting.

The right TA / Teaching assistant should be unwaveringly positive, ambitious, and empathetic with high levels of resilience and good behaviour management. Level 2 or 3 qualified applicants are in high demand across the area but we are also accepting applications from candidates with experience working with children and young people with Special educational needs, so please do get in touch!

The ideal TA / Teaching Assistant should have the following:

Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational establishment (non-qualified candidates will be considered)

A calm, patient and caring persona
Good communication skills
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
All our staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you’re paying the right level of Tax and National Insurance, and there’s no messing around with admin charges coming out of your hard-earned cash.
