A welcoming and inclusive SEN School in Newbury is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is patient, resilient, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of needs, which may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, communication needs, and complex needs.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with experienced Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and other support staff to create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role will involve:
Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
Supporting pupils with their learning, communication, and emotional development
Helping to create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Working closely with Teachers and other members of the support team
Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence, and important life skillsThis SEN Teaching Assistant position would be ideal for someone with previous experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs.
