Full-Time | Term Time Only | 8:30am - 4:00pm

A rewarding opportunity to make a real difference
Are you a caring, patient and compassionate person who genuinely wants to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs?

We are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team, working with children and young people aged 3-19.

Previous SEN experience is not essential. We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds who have the right attitude, a caring nature and a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.

This is a role where care, nurture, patience and building meaningful relationships are just as important as academic learning. You will support pupils in their day-to-day lives, helping them to feel safe, valued, confident and able to achieve their potential.

The role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide dedicated care, support and encouragement to pupils aged 3-19.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
Support pupils with their personal, social and emotional development.
Assist with personal care where required.
Support pupils with a range of additional and special educational needs.
Help pupils access learning and participate in activities at their own level.
Provide a combination of care, nurture and some academic support.
Encourage independence and celebrate individual progress and achievements.
Work closely with teachers and other members of the team to provide consistent support.
Help create a calm, safe and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.
Who we're looking for
You don't necessarily need previous SEN experience.

We're looking for people who are:

Caring, compassionate and patient.
Genuinely passionate about working with children and young people with additional needs.
Warm, nurturing and able to build strong relationships.
Reliable, positive and willing to learn.
Comfortable supporting with personal care.
Able to work as part of a team.
Respectful of every individual's needs, abilities and differences.
Able to see the person behind the need and celebrate every achievement, however big or small.
Experience in education, childcare, care work, youth work, support work, healthcare, sports, the arts or other people-focused roles can be valuable - but we are open to candidates from all backgrounds.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who has the heart and commitment to make a difference.

What we offer:
Full-time hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm
Term time only
The opportunity to work with children and young people aged 3-19.
A supportive and nurturing team environment.
The opportunity to develop valuable skills and experience in SEN.
A genuinely rewarding role where no two days are the same.
The chance to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people.

Could this be you?
If you're looking for a role where kindness, patience and compassion really matter, we'd love to hear from you.

You don't need to have all the experience - you just need to care, be willing to learn and genuinely want to make a difference.
