We are currently recruiting for both Primary and Secondary SEN (Special Educational Needs) teaching assistant positions starting this September.
Role Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support the learning and development of students with special educational needs across primary and secondary schools in Coventry. This full-time role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and making a positive impact on young people's lives, particularly those requiring additional support.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons to meet the needs of SEN students
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs
Help manage classroom behaviour and create a supportive learning environment
Assist with the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs)
Support students with their academic and personal development
Help with phonics for early years (if applicable)
Perform other classroom duties as requiredCandidate Requirements:
Some experience working with young people, particularly those with SEN
SEN experience
Classroom experience is advantageous but not essential
Phonics experience for early years teaching assistant positions is beneficial
Willing to learn and adapt to different educational environments
Holds a current DBS on the update service or is willing to obtain one
