SEN Teaching Assistant – ASD – Greenwich
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Salary: £90–£100 per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Start Date: 8 September 2026
Transparency Education is looking for a caring and dependable SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism within a Greenwich primary setting.
The successful applicant will understand the importance of predictability, communication and building trust when supporting pupils with ASD.
What will the role involve?
You will:
Support pupils individually and within the classroom.
Adapt learning tasks to make them accessible.
Use structured routines and visual resources where appropriate.
Encourage communication and social interaction.
Support pupils experiencing sensory or emotional dysregulation.
Work closely with teachers and the SENCO.
Help children develop independence and confidence.
Monitor and communicate pupil progress.
We would like to hear from you if you have:
Previous ASD or SEND experience.
Experience working in a UK school or similar educational setting.
A patient and attentive manner.
The ability to follow individual support plans.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
A genuine interest in inclusive education.
Additional training in autism, communication approaches or SEND would be beneficial.
