Progress Teachers are looking to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a lovely Infant school in the Rednal (B45) area. This is a full time position which will commence in September 2024 and has the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate!

The role involves supporting a group of EYFS and KS1 students with Complex Needs including:

* Speech and language difficulties

* Augmented communication

* Cognition and learning

* Physical development including sensory

This role would be perfect for an individual who is dynamic, creative, organised and maintains strong working relationships (with colleagues and students). You will be able to adapt your working style to suit the specific needs of the pupil. The role will involve supporting the student(s) teachers, the curriculum and the school. You will need to be able to create a happy, safe and caring environment which enables the student(s) to learn and communicate with confidence.

Requirements:

* Ideally you will have experience in a similar role, but those without SEN experience may also be considered.

* You may be asked to complete duties across the school, whilst being readily available for the student in question, so flexibility and being adaptable in your approach are essential.

* You must have the ability to work under pressure, have excellent communication skills and be a confident team player.

* DBS on the Update Service (Or willing to get one)

* 2x Satisfactory references
