The Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with special educational needs, providing tailored support and assistance to help them access the curriculum and participate fully in school life. Your key responsibilities will include:

Individual Support: Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, including those with learning disabilities, communication difficulties, and behavioral challenges.
Differentiated Instruction: Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized learning plans and accommodations to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Social and Emotional Support: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, supported, and encouraged to succeed.
Personal Care: Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, as needed, to help students participate fully in school activities and routines.
Behavior Management: Implement behavior management strategies and interventions to support students with challenging behaviors, promoting positive social interactions and self-regulation skills.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure the holistic well-being and academic success of students with special educational needs.
Requirements:

Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with learning disabilities, autism, or behavioral challenges.
Compassion, patience, and empathy for students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs and dynamics of the classroom environment.
Commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality in education, ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed and thrive.
Willingness to undergo any necessary training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting students with special educational needs.
