TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND school in Derby (DE23), who are looking to appoint a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant. The school provides a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for pupils with a range of additional needs and places a strong emphasis on developing independence and confidence.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils both individually and in small groups, supporting learning, behaviour and emotional development. The role will include providing personal care where required, so the school is looking for a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant who is patient, nurturing and committed to making a positive difference every day.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working with children with SEND
A caring, patient and nurturing approach
Confidence supporting pupils with personal care
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
