Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire

Position: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bradford. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behaviour, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Encourage emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour.
Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
Work closely with teachers and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the best possible support.
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience working with children with SEN and challenging behaviour.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy and resilience.
The ability to remain calm under pressure.
Relevant qualifications or experience within education, care or support settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
