SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 3 ADHD Support | Brent
Pay: £93–£100 per day, dependent on qualifications and experience
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

Teach Now is recruiting a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Year 3 pupil with ADHD at a primary school in Brent.
Your first priority will be building trust and helping the pupil settle into a new classroom. Combining warmth with clear boundaries, youll support emotional regulation, safe participation and engagement in learning. This is an active, hands-on role suited to someone attentive, patient and confident responding calmly to challenging situations.
Your role
• Provide consistent one-to-one support within the classroom, encouraging learning and inclusion.
• Build a trusting relationship through predictable routines and positive reinforcement.
• Help the pupil manage transitions, regulate emotions and develop friendships.
• Maintain close supervision and respond promptly to safety risks, including running or climbing, following agreed school procedures.
• Work with the teacher and SENCO to identify triggers, record progress and adapt support.

• Experience supporting primary-aged children with ADHD, SEN or emotional and behavioural needs.
• Confidence using positive behaviour strategies and calm de-escalation.
• An alert, proactive approach to supervision and safeguarding.
