Make a Difference as an SEN Teaching Assistant in North West London
Remedy Education is seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in North West London. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of pupils with additional learning needs.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide individualised support to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop essential skills and engage confidently in school life.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs.
Assist pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and learning disabilities.
Support children with SEMH needs and emotional regulation.
Help manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
Encourage pupils to develop independence, communication and social skills.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.
The Ideal Candidate:
Has experience working in a school, nursery or specialist provision, preferably supporting SEN.
Is patient, empathetic and confident when supporting different learning needs.
Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Demonstrates a calm and consistent approach to behaviour management.
Is passionate about helping every child achieve their potential.
