SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Bristol  -   Full time - Part time - flexible

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to positively impact the lives of children and young people with a range of additional needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to support pupils with a variety of needs, including:

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
ADHD
Speech and Language Difficulties
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing one-to-one and small group support
Assisting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
Supporting the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs)
Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within an education or SEN setting
Demonstrates patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs
Can work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative
Holds relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
