SEN Teaching Assistant | Full-Time | September 2026 - July 2027
Location: Kilburn, North West London
Pay: £90-£110 per day
Hours: Monday-Friday | 8:30am-4:00pm
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role in a welcoming primary school? A vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in Kilburn is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with Autism (ASD) from September 2026 through to July 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping young children with additional needs thrive both academically and socially.
The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child in Reception (EYFS) with Autism (ASD)
Build a positive, trusting relationship that encourages confidence and independence
Support communication, emotional regulation and classroom engagement
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning strategies
Adapt activities to meet the child's individual needs while encouraging inclusion within the classroom
Monitor progress and celebrate every achievement along the way
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a Teaching Assistant who has:
At least 1 year's experience supporting children with SEN or complex additional needs
Previous experience in a primary school, nursery, tuition, or similar child-focused setting
A patient, nurturing and resilient approach
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
A genuine passion for supporting children with Autism and helping them reach their potential
