Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity where you can make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a specialist school that is looking to expand its team and recruit additional SEN Teaching Assistants. The school supports pupils with high-functioning autism and physical disabilities, creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop their independence, confidence and academic skills.

The Opportunities

We currently have the following positions available:

1 x TA - Monday only
1 x TA - Monday, Wednesday & Friday
5 x Full-Time TAs - Monday to Friday

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide high-quality support tailored to individual pupils. You may provide support within the classroom, during practical activities, around the school and with pupils' wider social and emotional development.

The role will involve supporting pupils with autism and physical disabilities, helping them to access learning, develop independence and overcome barriers to their education.

You will need to be confident supporting pupils who may have a range of individual needs and be able to adapt your approach depending on the child and situation.

The Ideal Candidate

Strong SEN experience is essential, ideally including experience supporting pupils with autism, physical disabilities or complex additional needs.

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced working with children or young people with SEN
Patient, nurturing and understanding
Confident supporting pupils with autism
Comfortable supporting pupils with physical disabilities
Able to build strong and trusting relationships
Consistent and confident with behaviour and boundaries
Reliable, proactive and adaptable
