Salary: £92 - £95 per day
Are you an enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children and young people with additional learning needs?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist ALN school based in Caerphilly, supporting children and young people aged 3 to 19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD and additional learning needs. The school provides a supportive learning environment focused on helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant on a full-time, temporary long-term basis through TeacherActive, with an immediate start available. The successful ASD Teaching Assistant will support pupils with autism / ASD and challenging behaviour, working closely with teaching staff to encourage positive engagement, manage behaviour effectively and build trusting relationships with pupils.
The successful ASD Teaching Assistant will have:
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
Experience supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD and additional learning needs / ALN
Experience managing challenging behaviour and implementing positive behaviour strategies
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A bubbly, outgoing and approachable personality with a positive attitude
Patience, resilience and the ability to adapt to individual pupils' needs
