Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Bournemouth this September.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language needs, SEMH and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
Work on a one-to-one basis and with small groups to encourage learning and independence.
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
Promote positive behaviour and support pupils with emotional regulation.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Help create a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work or similar).
Is patient, empathetic and resilient.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
Holds a relevant qualification (desirable but not essential).
Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
