Tradewind Recruitment in Whitstable is currently recruiting on behalf of several specialist SEN schools across the Dover district that are looking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants.

Your Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and wider school staff to provide individual and small-group support for pupils with a range of additional learning needs. You'll help create a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment where every child can reach their full potential.

You could be supporting pupils with:

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
ADHD
Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
Moderate, Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties
Sensory, physical and medical needsThe role includes supporting classroom learning, encouraging positive behaviour, developing communication and social skills, and helping pupils become more independent both inside and outside the classroom.
