About the Role:

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Richmond, London, starting in September. This is a full-time, temporary position, ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and adapting lesson materials to meet the specific needs of SEN students.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional development of all students.
Support students with personal care needs, if required, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the school day.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's education and development.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN support.
Qualifications and Experience:

Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs in an educational setting.
A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of SEN students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to working with students with diverse needs.
Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable but not essential.
Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn.
