A secondary school in East London is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to start with them in September.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will learn and implement strategies to support students to help them engage with the curriculum. Working with the school SENCO and class teachers, you will be given skills and strategies to for dealing with pupils with a range of special needs and having an adaptable approach is crucial. The school prefers to have SEN Teaching Assistants work with a variety of pupils throughout the week when possible, to provide variety and independence, so the role will be varied and interesting.
As part of the SEN team, you will be working closely with the school SENCO, as well as class teachers and department leaders and the school requires an excellent communicator, as you will be liaising with many departments throughout the week.
The hours for this role are 8.15am - 4pm, Monday to Friday and the pay for this role is £90-95 per day, depending on experience.
