Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support our secondary-aged students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting young people, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to helping every student achieve their full potential. This is a full-time role, providing a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.
Assist teachers in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of SEN students.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.
Help students with personal care needs, where necessary.
Monitor and record students' progress, offering regular feedback to teachers and parents.
Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom activities and resources.
Promote and model positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with secondary-aged students with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a school setting.
A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
