Are you a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant who is experienced working very closely with SEN children in the Tamworth area looking for a flexible role within a supportive SEN school environment?

We are seeking an patient and reliable Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development across welcoming and well-established primary schools.

As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
-Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with highly complex additional needs.
-Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to create a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
-Assisting pupils with varying abilities and learning needs, including those requiring additional support
-Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning activities to enhance pupil engagement
-Working collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
-Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development, helping them to build confidence and reach their full potential
-Assisting with playground duties, school activities, and other responsibilities as required by the school
 
The ideal candidate would have:
-Recent experience supporting children with additional needs on a 1:1 basis.
-A relevant Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable).
-Experience supporting children with complex needs.
-Previous experience delivering medical care is advantageous but not essential.
-Confidence working independently whilst also being an effective member of a wider classroom team.
-A patient, caring and flexible approach.
-Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
-An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
