SEN Teaching Assistant - Part Time - Stafford - Start Date: September 2026

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support local schools on a part-time basis; your role is an important role in which you play a vital part in supporting pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you work closely alongside the class teacher, supporting teaching and learning, making effective use of resources available and keeping the highest standards of progress and achievement for all pupils. We ask that you have relevant experience of working with children with additional needs and also SEMH; particularly pupils that display low levels of engagement to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high quality support to all pupils within a school environment.
Assist in fostering a positive, nurturing learning environment by upkeeping and maintaining positive behaviour standards, acting as a positive and inspiring member of the team.
Providing relevant support to a range of students within a school environment, your work may be spread across a range of Key stages and classes. You will be working predominantly alongside children with additional needs.
The ability to work using your own initiative, comfortable supporting staff with lesson planning and teaching where required.
Promote and safeguard the welfare of all children at all times.What we're looking for:

Will have flexible availability, open minded in supporting a particular school on a longer-term basis if needed.
A qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 3).
Has strong and valuable experience working within school environments, supporting pupils with additional needs/SEMH.
A kind, caring nature which is rooted by a passion for supporting children with additional needs in an education setting.
Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one).
Can provide two recent professional references.
Is able to commute to Cannock and Rugeley.
Is fully registered (or willing to register) with Academics.Pay £93 - £100 per day, depending on experience. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
