Sen Teaching Assistant

I C Talent is looking for caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join schools supporting children and young people with special educational needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference to pupils' lives, helping them feel supported, included and confident in their learning.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop their independence and achieve their individual goals.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you may be supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups or within the classroom. Your responsibilities may include:

* Supporting pupils with their learning and classroom activities

* Providing one-to-one and small-group support

* Encouraging communication, interaction and independence

* Supporting pupils to work towards their individual targets and EHCP outcomes

* Helping create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment

* Providing personal care where required

* Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils

* Working closely with teachers, families and other support staff

We're looking for someone who is:

* Passionate about helping children and young people succeed

* Able to build positive relationships with pupils

* Willing to learn and develop their SEN knowledge

Previous SEN experience is desirable, but it's not essential. We welcome applications from people with experience in education, childcare, care, support work, youth work or other people-focused roles.
