We are currently working with a secondary school in Lambeth, London, seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support to a wheelchair user with additional learning needs, fostering their independence and confidence in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing personalized support to the student, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.

Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to implement individualized education plans.

Assisting with personal care and mobility needs as required.

Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for the student to thrive academically and socially.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with special needs students, particularly in a one-to-one capacity.

Compassionate nature and genuine desire to support the development of young people.

Ability to adapt and respond effectively to the individual needs of the student.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
