Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping pupils overcome barriers to learning?
Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming school in Ipswich who are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to a pupil's school experience, helping them to feel settled, supported and confident in their learning.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
Help pupils access learning and develop their confidence, independence and communication skills.
Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs where required.
Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide consistent support.
Help create a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support pupils both academically and pastorally throughout the school day.
About You
The school would be interested in hearing from Teaching Assistants who are:
Patient, caring and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children.
Experienced working with SEN / SEND, or keen to develop their experience in this area.
Confident building positive relationships with pupils.
Calm and consistent when supporting behaviour.
A good team player who is happy to work closely with teachers and other professionals.
Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to making a difference.
Previous school experience is highly desirable, although relevant experience supporting children or young people in other settings will also be considered.
