We are currently recruiting for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of specialist SEN schools and inclusive mainstream provisions in the Enfield area.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, Support Workers, Care Workers, Psychology Graduates, or individuals looking to build a rewarding career within special education.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals.

You may be supporting students with:

* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

* ADHD

* SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)

* Speech and Language Difficulties

* Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties

* Complex Needs and EHCPs

You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams to provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Schools across Enfield are actively seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support, small-group interventions, behaviour support, and emotional regulation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND

* Support students both inside and outside the classroom

* Assist with implementing EHCP targets and support plans

* Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation

* Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs

* Support communication, social development, and independence

* Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff

Requirements

* Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN desirable

* Experience working within schools, care, youth work, support work, or residential settings welcomed

* Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Passion for supporting vulnerable learners

* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
