Our school community is inclusive and nurturing, aiming to help every student achieve their full potential. We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our committed team.

Role Overview:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of our students. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with a range of special educational needs. This position requires a compassionate and patient individual with a strong commitment to enhancing the learning experience of SEN students.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the teacher in delivering high-quality education to SEN students.
Assist with the planning and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to assessment reports.
Help with the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff to support the holistic development of students.
Assist with the supervision of students during break times and school activities.Requirements:

Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting.
Knowledge and understanding of various special educational needs and effective support strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential).What We Offer:
