SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Immediate Start

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs?

We are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school on a full-time basis in Bury St Edmunds, with an immediate start available.

You will be supporting pupils with highly complex needs, so previous experience working within a specialist school or similar setting is highly desirable. A strong background in care would also be considered, as personal care will be an essential part of the role.

The ideal candidate:

Has previous SEN school experience – highly desirable
SEMH experience is also welcomed
Alternatively, you may have transferable skills from education, care, support work, youth work or similar settings
Is confident supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs
Is patient, resilient, compassionate and committed to making a positive difference
Has a full driving licence – essential
Has an Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the Update Service – highly advantageous and can help fast-track your application

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
