Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve their full potential?

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a range of welcoming primary schools across Longbridge, Northfield and Rubery. These rewarding roles involve providing tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access education, build confidence and thrive both academically and socially.

Whether you have extensive SEN experience or have previously worked with children in education, care or support settings, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to provide personalised support for pupils with a range of additional needs.

Your responsibilities may include:

* Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs

* Supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH needs and learning difficulties

* Implementing strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

* Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development

* Adapting learning activities to meet individual pupil needs

* Building positive relationships with pupils to help them engage confidently in learning

* Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

Experience & Requirements

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

* Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in a school or alternative setting

* Experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs or complex learning difficulties

* A background in education, childcare, youth work, care work, residential support or similar roles

* Strong communication and behaviour management skills

* A patient, resilient and nurturing approach

* The ability to build trust and positive relationships with children who require additional support

Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Support Workers, Psychology graduates and individuals with transferable SEN experience.
