Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you dedicated to helping children with special educational needs (SEN) reach their full potential? We're looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at our mainstream primary school. If you're passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating an inclusive learning environment, we want to hear from you!

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Mainstream Primary School

Start Date: September 2024

Duration: Full-time, Long-term

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
Assist the class teacher in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and accommodations to meet the needs of students with SEN.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Use positive behaviour management techniques to promote students' social and emotional development.
Collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and outside agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students with SEN.Qualifications and Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with SEN, either in an educational or care setting, is preferred but not essential.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children with SEN.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Willingness to undergo any necessary training or professional development related to SEN support.
A commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the school community.
Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one. Why Join Us:
