Teach Plus is working with a dynamic and inclusive primary school located in Brent, who are looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to start with them in September.

The school promotes a stimulating and positive learning environment where all children feel safe and valued as individuals. The school has a friendly community and celebrates an ambitious and creative curriculum, ensuring that all pupils, including those with SEND can achieve well.

The role is a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role to commence in September 2024, supporting children with a range of SEN needs across the school.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be required to:

Deliver lessons on a one to one basis
Follow the class teacher and SENCO's direction in supporting the child both inside and outside the classroom
Follow plans for activities and intervention sessions provided by the class teacher
Ensure the child feels supported and safe by having a warm and nurturing approach
Promoting Inclusion by fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Communicate with the SENCO, Class Teachers and other SEN Teaching Assistant's involved in the child's education

The ideal candidate for an SEN Teaching Assistant role will have:

Have experience with Special Educational Needs such as Autism, Speech and Language and ADHD
A good knowledge of Special Educational Needs
Have experience working with students, ideally in an educational setting
Patience, resilience and be supportive
The ability to build rapport with the child and be able to respond to the child's individual needs
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS Certificate, however, if you need to apply for a certificate, we can easily apply for a new check for you.Next Steps:
