SEN Teaching Assistant - South East London
Remedy Education | £100-£117 per day
Remedy Education is looking for caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs in schools across South East London.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning, build their confidence and reach their full potential.
The Role
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
Assist teachers with classroom activities and individual learning plans.
Support pupils with additional needs, which may include autism (ASD), ADHD and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and independence.
Adapt support to meet pupils' individual learning and developmental needs.
Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupil progress.
The Ideal Candidate
Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
Be patient, understanding and adaptable.
Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Be confident supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.
Be able to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.
Be reliable, proactive and committed to safeguarding.
Experience in a specialist SEN setting would be beneficial.
