Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location: Camden, London

Pay: £101.50–£110 per day

Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

Start date: 01/10/2026

Help children build confidence, discover new interests and develop a love of learning. Teach Now is recruiting a caring, experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Camden.

Working within the schools Early Years provision, you will support childrens learning, development and daily routines, including those with special educational needs. This role would suit a patient, enthusiastic practitioner who enjoys helping young children thrive through play, exploration and positive relationships.

About the school

The school offers a supportive primary setting where you will work closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team. Together, you will create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment that helps children feel secure and ready to learn.

Your responsibilities

• Support engaging, play-based activities across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

• Develop childrens communication, language, social and emotional skills.

• Work with individuals and small groups, adapting support to different developmental and learning needs.

• Help children with SEN participate in activities and build independence.

• Support daily routines and maintain a safe, welcoming classroom.

• Observe childrens progress and share feedback with the class teacher.
What were looking for

• Previous experience in a Nursery, Reception or Early Years setting.

• A good understanding of the EYFS framework.

• A warm, patient approach and confidence supporting young children.

• Strong communication, teamwork and initiative.

• A Level 3 Early Years qualification is preferred.

• Experience supporting children with SEN is advantageous.
