A compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant is needed to join a primary school based in Northampton. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupils with special educational needs (SEN), helping them to achieve their full potential and participate fully in school life.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, both in the classroom and during individual or small group sessions.
Assist in the implementation of ECHPs and monitor pupils progress.
Support classroom management and promote a positive learning environment.
Help prepare learning materials and resources to meet the needs of pupils with SEN.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the well-being and progress of pupils.
Encourage the social and emotional development of pupils, fostering a sense of inclusion and self-confidence.
Assist with personal care needs and physical assistance where necessary.Requirements:

Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
Understanding of various SEN conditions and appropriate support strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with SEN.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Relevant qualifications or training in special education or child development is desirable.Desirable:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent qualification.What We Offer:
