Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Long-Term Special Needs Supply Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team.
This role involves working within a dedicated Primary based Special Education Needs School on a long-term supply basis.
You will be supporting students who have diverse learning needs, providing tailored support to help them succeed academically and socially. If you are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special needs, we would love to hear from you today!
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist classroom teachers in delivering individual education plans (EHCPs) for students with special needs.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring they stay engaged and on task.
* Implement and adapt learning activities to meet the unique needs of each student.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
* Assist with personal care tasks and mobility support as required.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all students.
* Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members to ensure cohesive support for students.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with children with special needs is essential.
* Equivalent qualifications
* Patience, empathy, and a strong passion for supporting students with diverse learning requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in special education or related fields are a plus.
