Special School | Lambeth | Full-Time

SEN Teaching Assistant - Lambeth
£90-£110 per day | Full-time | Term-time

We are recruiting for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Lambeth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work with pupils with autism, learning difficulties, communication needs and complex additional needs.

Lambeth has a strong specialist education network, including The Livity School, Turney School and The Orchard School.

About the role

You will become an important part of a pupil's daily support network.

You will:

Support individual learning programmes.

Assist with communication strategies.

Use visual supports and structured routines.

Help pupils develop independence.

Support sensory and emotional regulation.

Assist with personal care where required.

Encourage positive social interaction.

Work closely with teachers and therapists.

Who we're looking for

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience of:

Autism

SLD/PMLD

Speech and language difficulties

Complex needs

Behaviour support

However, candidates from mainstream education, healthcare, care or youth work backgrounds may also be considered.

The most important thing is that you are patient, dependable and genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
