SEN Teaching Assistant - Westminster
£90-£110 per day | Full-time | Term-time

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a specialist role in central London?

We are working with a specialist school in Westminster and are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team.

The Westminster specialist sector includes schools such as College Park, Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee and St Marylebone CE Bridge School, providing specialist education for pupils with a range of additional needs.

The position

You will support pupils who may have:

Autism

Speech and language difficulties

Severe learning difficulties

Complex needs

Physical or sensory needs

Communication difficulties

You will work alongside experienced teachers to deliver personalised support and help pupils make progress towards their EHCP outcomes.

Your responsibilities

Supporting learning inside and outside the classroom.

Delivering interventions.

Supporting communication.

Helping pupils regulate emotionally and sensory-wise.

Encouraging independence.

Supporting personal care where necessary.

Recording progress and observations.

Working closely with teachers, therapists and families.

The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive and confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Previous SEN experience is desirable, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
