Job Description:
The SEN Teaching Assistant will provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a school setting. The role involves working closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the educational and social development of students.
Job Duties:
Assist students with SEN in their learning and development
Support teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Provide one-to-one support for students with specific needs
Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
Required Qualifications:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Relevant experience working with children with SEN
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working with children with SEN is essential
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of SEN educational practises
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Additional training in SEN support
Working Conditions:
Full-time contract position
