SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Brierley Hill, Dudley DY5
Daily Rate: £(Apply online only)
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-Term temporary
Long Term Futures are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Dudley on a long-term basis. You will work with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including SEMH, Autism, Speech and Language (SLCN), moderate learning difficulties and complex communication needs, providing tailored support in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong SEND experience who can build positive relationships, support communication and emotional regulation, and help pupils engage confidently with learning.
In this role, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
Help pupils access learning and work towards their EHCP targets
Support communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Adapt your approach to individual learning and sensory needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCOYou'll need:
Previous experience supporting primary-aged children with SEND
Experience with needs such as SEMH, Autism, SLCN, MLD or complex needs
Confidence supporting behaviour and emotional regulation#
A patient, consistent and adaptable approach
