Position - SEN Teaching Assistant

Location - Stockport (SK8)

Pay - £99-£110 per day, depending on experience

Start Date - 12/10/2026

Hours - 8:30am-3:30pm

Are you a kind and compassionate SEN teaching assistant seeking a new role? Prospero Teaching are working with a large SEN provision in Stockport to recruit experienced SEN teaching assistants to join their team.

The school supports pupils aged between 4-19, with complex needs.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, providing emotional and academic support
Maintain regular communication with SLT and third-party agencies to monitor progress and development
Support the class teacher, creating engaging learning resourcesWhat we require:

Previous experience supporting complex needs, in a school or residential setting is essential for this position
A genuine passion for supporting complex needs
Team Teach training is highly desired
Up to date Safeguarding in the last year (desired but training can be provided)TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two yearsOTHER
