Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs. Your dedication and expertise will help create a positive and effective learning experience, ensuring each student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with SEN on a one-on-one basis and in small groups.
Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive support strategy.
Promote an inclusive classroom environment that respects and values diversity.
Support classroom management and address behavioural challenges effectively.
Assist with the physical, emotional, and social needs of students.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to varying educational settings.
Relevant qualifications or training in special education are preferred but not essential.
