Full Time | Term Time Only | Immediate Start
£108.68 - £115 per day | Long-Term | Temp to Perm
Long Term Futures are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEN school in High Barnet, supporting pupils across either the Primary or Secondary phase.
This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who wants to develop their experience within specialist education. You will support pupils with a range of SEN, SEMH and additional needs, helping them engage with learning, regulate emotions and develop greater independence.
Previous SEMH experience is highly desirable, particularly candidates who have supported young people displaying challenging behaviour or emotional regulation needs.
The position is long-term with a clear temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Work as an SEN Teaching Assistant within either Primary or Secondar
Provide 1:1 and smallgroup support
Support pupils with SEN, SEMH and additional learning needs
Help pupils manage emotions and remain engaged with learning
Use positive behaviour management and deescalation strategies
Support academic, social and emotional development
Follow individual EHCPs and support plans
Work closely with teachers, therapists and other SEN professionalsIdeal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, LSA or Support Worker
SEMH experience is highly desirable
Experience supporting challenging behaviour would be beneficial
Confidence working with either Primary or Secondaryaged pupils
A calm, resilient and consistent approach
Strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills
A genuine interest in building a career within SEN educationLocation & Transport - High Barnet
