Specialist SEN School - Blackburn - Up to £600 per week - Full-Time - September Start

A supportive specialist SEN school in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff, as well as candidates looking to develop careers in SEN Education, Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Social Work, or related fields.
The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a broad range of additional needs, potentially including Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, speech and communication difficulties, and SEMH needs.
You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff, using pupils' EHCPs to understand individual needs, identify barriers to learning, and implement appropriate support strategies. Building strong relationships will be fundamental, providing pupils with the consistency and encouragement they need to develop confidence, communication, independence, and engagement with learning.
