SEND Teaching Assistant – Birmingham
First For Education is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Birmingham, supporting children and young people who benefit from a more individualised and nurturing approach to learning.
This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and understands the importance of building strong, trusting relationships.
The setting offers a supportive and positive environment, with a strong focus on individualised learning, emotional wellbeing and helping every pupil develop confidence and independence.
SEND Teaching Assistant benefits:
• Competitive daily rate £90–£110 per day, dependent on experience

The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant will:
• Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs
• Be confident providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Have a calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Be able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Support pupils with their learning, communication and emotional development
• Be confident supporting behaviour and emotional regulation where required
• Be proactive, reliable and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team
Previous experience within a specialist SEND provision, alternative provision or similar education setting would be beneficial, although applicants with strong transferable experience will also be considered.
