The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
Our client school would like to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to join them on an immediate start basis working until the end of the academic year. The SEN Teaching Assistant will be working within an SEN school supporting pupils on the Autistic Spectrum with other additional complex needs. The SEN Teaching Assistant will be confident in supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as providing class room support. The SEN Teaching Assistant will be resilient but patient when working with ASD pupils whose ages will vary between 4 to 16 years. The SEN Teaching Assistant will need to have previous experience of working with special needs pupils in either education or care. The SEN Teaching Assistant will need to have previously used or have knowledge of PECS, Makaton and TEACCH.
