SEN Teaching Assistants (SEN TA) Needed in Canterbury!

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and SEN staff to support pupils with special educational needs. You may provide one-to-one or small-group support across different primary school settings.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN
Support pupils with their learning, development and communication
Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs
Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development
Work closely with teachers and other school staff
Follow individual support plans and school policies
Promote pupils' confidence, independence and engagement

Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN is desirable
Experience working in a school, nursery or educational setting is advantageous
A relevant SEN, Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification is beneficial
A patient, caring and supportive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
An Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one
A commitment to safeguarding and children's welfare
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
A UK Driving Licence is desirable but not essential
