About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant for one of their client schools located in Newham. This role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that meet the individual needs of students.
- Help to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
- Support students' social and emotional development, fostering a positive and nurturing atmosphere.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support students in achieving their learning goals.
- Work closely with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech and language therapists, to provide comprehensive support.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures, particularly those related to safeguarding and child protection.

Requirements:

- Right to Work in the UK: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate: Must hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through GSL Education.
- R two professional child-related references.
- Updated CV:A detailed CV covering work and academic details for the past 10 years.
- Safeguarding and Child P knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential. Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
